I have an unusual profile for a Tech community - being an Org Change & Development and Leadership Learning specialist AND experienced in Agile/DevOps: a foot in both 'camps'. I specialise in helping tech organisations shift from old to new ways of delivering technology services, particularly those who have struggled for a while to get engagement from other business functions, get the trust and investment they need, and win hearts and minds within the tech community itself to open up, collaborate, let go of the fear of change and learn to experiment with new processes, technology and ways of working.
I act as change team leadership coach - providing tools, techniques, experience in the background - transferring skills and knowledge - bringing out and boosting the existing skills and knowledge of the tech teams. I use tools such as value stream mapping and management, business simulations and on-the-job coaching, as well as training to provide a foundation of knowledge to build on. I am a DevOps Institute instructor and have designed and delivered custom change leadership programmes for Henley Business School, and taught organisation change on Henley's MBA programmes. I also provide business presentation skills coaching, aiming for business-savvy tech communities and digital-savvy organisations.
