Each month, the Value Stream Management Consortium undertakes a microresearch initiative; one theme, five questions, less than 5 minutes to answer the survey. Microresearch reports are available to members only, along with members only research review webinars.

Lead or Cycle Time

Our first piece of microresearch looked at how organizations and teams use the terms 'lead time' and 'cycle time'. We aim to establish and share good practices and open standards and definitions that contribute to the accelerated adoption of VSM. We know that these terms have many different meanings and are seeking an understanding of how they are used today to inform the future. Our members can access our research in the Member Portal, and we summarize findings in our annual State of VSM Reports.

We Share Our Research
