We advance value stream-centric ways of working in technology teams.
The next generation of DevOps.
Value stream management means you connect from idea to value realization, integrating your DevOps toolchain end-to-end and gain unparalleled insights into what's happening when your teams are delivering value outcomes to your customers. At the Value Stream Management Consortium, we are dedicated to making this a standard way of working to ensure that all organizations can make the most of what they have.
We are busy crunching data, extracting insights, architecting narrative arc, crafting guidance, prettifying charts, and polishing copy. The inaugural edition of this report will land June 2021. Watch this space!
We know that DevOps principles create higher-performing organizations but it's hard to know what's improving when. When your organizations are built from silos and data is buried, conversations are opinion driven. Thinking and working as value streams means teams obsess about the value their work creates to the customer and that they can measure how their experiments accelerate its flow to be realized in the hands of the customer.

When your organizations are built from silos and data is buried, conversations are opinion driven. Start by identifying your value streams - a value stream is anything that delivers a product or service. You're aiming to accelerate the flow of value to the customer.
Identify the players in your value stream and gather them together for a mapping exercise: find where the idea starts, track every step until the value is delivered.
Connect the parts in your DevOps toolchain aligned to the steps in your Value Stream Map and start getting real-time data and insights into your value stream's flow.
Now you've automated your value stream map, use it! Set yourselves goals and use your retrospectives to look at where you are and design experiments to adapt and optimize.
